I discovered my mistake.

My remotes was pointing to my local filesystem.

Maybe you should be clearer in the part you say to add remote for /path/to/projectA, just say that it can be a truly remote repo, through ssh or http(s).

If we add a remote from a real mainstream, it'll be easier to pull in future changes. :)

Thanks.

Hello,

I followed your steps, but I can't pull updates to my subtrees.
Git accuses the following:

$ git pull -s subtree sub-tree-1 development
fatal: '/Users/caiofbpa/git-subtree-test/sub-tree-1/' does not appear to be a git repository
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

Any clue on this?

I forgot, I use a static folder for all the users, not a dynamic one as said in step 2's auto-save pdf. So, the ccleaner part wouldn't apply.

But still, admins can modify this as they see fit.

Thanks again for posting this.

You can also use this manual to share printers who aren't supported on newer versions of Windows.

My case: sharing an old laser printer connected to a 32 bit Windows XP PC with a 64 bit Windows 7 PC.

The problem: there are no drivers available for Windows 7 64 bits for that printer. Ergo, I was unable to connect to the shared printer.

How to print using PDFForge? After step 2, go to PDFForge's options, choose "Print" on the left, and mark "Print after save" on the right to enable the other options. On "Ask the user" dropdown menu, choose disabled. Then choose the local printer which PDFForge will use to print the autosaved pdf document.

And it's done!.

Bonus points: Use CCleaner to clean up the folder used as cache for the auto saved pdf documents on windows startup. Open CCleaner, on the left choose "Options", then choose "Include" and add the folder used to autosave the pdf documents. Then Set CCleaner to clean everytime windows boots.

Thank you very much for posting this tutorial.
